Russians buy real estate again
This year marks the revival not only in the Moscow real estate market, but in the whole of Russia.
According to the Federal Service of State Registration, Cadastre and Mapping (Rosreestr), in the whole country, the total number of registered real estate transactions in the first half of 2010 has grown by 18%, and residential real estate - by one-third. At the same time, the trade with land plots went down with 2%.
In the first half Rosreestr registered 12 630 589 real estate deals, an 18% increase over the same period in 2009. Most real estate transactions occurred in April of this year, when there were more than 2.74 million transactions.
The most dynamic since the beginning of this year has been the federal housing market. Total number of registered rights to accommodation increased by 33% to more than 5.480.000 transactions.
Rosreestr also notes a significant increase in the number of transactions using credit. Thus, the total number of records on the mortgage for six months in 2010 increased by 59% and amounted to 509.628. These data show that there has been an increase in availability of mortgage mechanisms for people.
Along with this Rossreestr notes a slight decrease in land transactions. If in the first half of 2009, there were more than 3.424.000 transactions of land plots, from the beginning of this year there were 3.349.000.
It is worth to observe that in May this year, the Moscow office of Rosreestr noted a record number of deals over the past four years - 8.340. In the spring of 2010 in Moscow there were 23.200 transactions in housing, which is 67% more than in spring 2009 and 30% - spring 2007.
